Therapeutic Phlebotomy

Therapeutic phlebotomy is a prescribed blood draw used to reduce iron or red blood cell levels as treatment for certain blood disorders.

  • Common reasons: Hemochromatosis, polycythemia, or testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) and other blood disorders.

  • Price: $150 flat-rate per procedure (self-pay) plus any applicable additional travel fees if you are in our extended service area. We do not bill insurance for this fee, and you will not receive any surprise bills later on.

  • Process: A quick finger-stick hemoglobin test is done before the draw. Blood is collected into a sterile bag and safely disposed of after the procedure.

  • Frequency: Weekly, biweekly, monthly, or as directed by your provider.

  • Lab Order Requirement: Since therapeutic phlebotomy is considered a procedure to treat an underlying medical condition, a lab order from a licensed practitioner is required to book an appointment with us. There is no exception to this requirement. Blank order forms are available on our website for your provider to fill out and send back to us.

Our mobile service allows you to complete therapeutic phlebotomy in the comfort of your home, avoiding hospital wait times and inflated procedure costs.
